About Us
Simply Sublime is created by two professional footballers who are inspired by the beauty, culture, and camaraderie football embodies, from fashion and lifestyle to drinks and food. And most importantly community, we are here to celebrate and cultivate all the things that make the game simply sublime.
Ian and Sarah are from opposite coasts of the United States and now live together in Boston. The two met in college at Wake Forest University back in 2013. After graduating to play professional football in December 2017, they dated long distance for 2.5 years while pursuing their dreams.
In 2018 they got engaged and married in 2021. For the last four years, Sarah and Ian have lived in Scotland doing what they love. Ian still plays professionally in the US for New England Revolution. Sarah has retired from playing but still works In the Beautiful Game for a non-profit soccer company. The Harkes now extend their love for football by celebrating it through social media, podcasting, and conversing with the community.
